We owed you photos from our time in Manila. It is very difficult to talk about Manila while you are there, so many impressions. The city is hard, moving around is science fiction, there is garbage everywhere, and the number of homeless people is astonishing. On the other hand, people are nice, well mannered and as everywhere in the Philippines, friendly.

The Old Town Intramuros is a beautiful display of colonial architecture, still inhabited today. In Malate we had great massages and a drink at a bar. The big park, Rizal, is also worth visiting. During our stay there was a massive procession of the Nazareno Jesus ending in Quiapo church. Memorable.

When I was living in Bangkok, Thailand I made numerous trips to Manila and got to know the city quite well. Your photos brought back many fond memories of this fascinating metropolis! Thank you for sharing.

I am glad my photos brough some memories, hopefuly good ones! I found Manila interesting, but I was a bit paranoid there beacuse of all the bad comments from other travellers. I am not even sure if they were true, but they made me worry a bit.
