Day 15

Yes, you won’t believe it, that’s how intense it was, you are back home.

Bangkok is a fairly big city, and traffic jams are quite common so it’s important to be well connected and close to the action. The center itself is quite overcrowded and noisy so the best option is a neighborhood not far from the center. Silom is a nice, authentic neighborhood, close to the river and the Skytrain, with shops and restaurants in every corner.

Chiang Mai

The best place to stay in Chiang Mai is in the Old Town or next to it since most of the historic temples and the main market are there.

Luang Prabang

The hotel is located in the French Colonial Quarter in the city center, within easy reach of the main temples. The neighborhood is packed with great restaurants, cafes and shops.

Vang Vieng

Vang Vieng is all about nature and the city itself is not especially nice. To enjoy the best views you have to be close to the river and the mountains, where the hotel is.

The hotel is located in the city center close to the restaurants, cafes and shops, plus walking distance to the Mekong River promenade and most attractions.

Food in Southeast Asia is varied with different options for everybody. If you are into new flavors, tasty meals with noodles or rice will certainly satisfy you. If you rather have Western/European food, no worries you’ll find it almost everywhere. Most dishes in restaurants cost between 3-10 eur.
