As you all know, I love travelling, discovering new places and revisiting old ones. However, the act of moving to one place to another is not always nice or comfortable. That’s why I absolutely enjoy when moving involves travelling, getting to know something, experiencing great views and better still when it’s comfortable.
Thanks to Tallink Silja, our trip from Tallinn to Helsinki fulfilled all of the above. Easily accessible from the city, Tallinn’s city terminal is spacious and well organized. We hoped on an environmentally friendly boat (that is always a plus since we are trying to reduce our ecological footprint), and what a boat it was! An 1177 meters long Shuttle Superstar carrying more than 2000 passengers in just 2 hours. Several restaurants (and frozen yogurt too!), duty free shops, live music, comfy chairs everywhere and windows galore to intake the views. There is also a huge terrace where you can sunbathe and a couple of smaller ones to enjoy your time with friends.
Our favorite was the trip itself: Tallinn’s skyline, islands, the beauty of the Baltic followed by islands and Helsinki’s skyline. It was the perfect way to say goodbye to Estonia and hello to Finland.
